The AC is running.
Nobody is in the room.
airo notices the room is empty and stops cooling it before you remember where the remote went. Presence radar, temperature limits, humidity control — and all of it keeps working when the internet does not.

What happens without airo
Your AC has no idea you left
It cools an empty bedroom, fights an open window, and holds 18 °C because somebody set it there in July. The bill shows up at the end of the month with no explanation attached.
Empty room
In homes and hotel rooms the AC spends around five hours a day cooling space with nobody in it.
Open window
One open window can nearly double what a mini-split draws, and nothing on the wall tells you.
Set to 18 °C
Every degree below what you actually need adds about 6 % to consumption and nothing to comfort.

Devices
Three lines. One app.
Start with a thermostat, add sensors when you need them. Every device sees the others and follows the same set of rules.
Climate
Thermostats and controllers that drive the air conditioner itself
Sense
Sensors that tell the climate line what is happening in the room
Safety
Gas, carbon monoxide and tank level, with alerts that reach your phone
Indicative pricing for the prototype.
Flagship
Vela draws the line exactly where you want it
One thermostat instead of a remote that is always missing. A screen that shows only what you decided to expose. And radar that knows there is nobody in the room.
- Radar sees a person sitting still
- You set the allowed range, not the guest
- Dehumidifying starts on its own while the place is empty
- Rules keep running without internet

The safety line
Gas is not an efficiency question
A leak does not offer a second try, so Garda and Mira behave differently from the rest of the range: they call instead of notifying, and they keep working when the house has neither power nor internet.
- A voice call to your phone on alarm
- 12 hours of backup power
- Daily sensor self-diagnostics

Who it is for
A home and a property are different problems
Home and apartment
A smaller bill and nobody to argue with
One thermostat and one door sensor close the two biggest leaks: the empty room and the open window. You can set the whole thing up in an evening.

Shared temperature limits, per-site reports, fault alerts and exports for finance. A ten-room pilot takes two weeks.

We are a new brand. This is everything we have.
airo is in its first season, so there is no wall of twenty thousand happy customers here. There are measurements from pilot sites and notes from the people who agreed to go first.

I put Vela in three rental apartments. First month came back about $120 lower per unit. As far as I can tell, guests never noticed anything had changed.
Dmitry K.Short-term rentals, 3 unitsSavings were not really my problem — mould was. The place sits empty two months at a time. Dehumidifying kicks in by itself and the air is fine when I arrive.
Marina L.Second home by the coastWe piloted twelve rooms. The number matters less than the fact that housekeeping stopped walking the floor turning units off by hand.
Artem V.Hotel, 46 rooms
Pilot programme participants, June–July 2026. Savings depend on the property, the tariff and how the space is used.
Questions
What people ask before buying
Will airo work with my air conditioner?
Luma and Vela work with any mini-split that has an infrared remote — more than 6,000 models across every mainstream brand. VRF and UMATCH multi-zone systems need Nexo. If your model is not in the library we add it, and refund you if we cannot.
Where exactly do the savings come from?
Three places: the AC stops cooling an empty room, stops fighting an open window, and never drops below the temperature you allowed. The first one does most of the work — that is roughly five wasted hours a day.
Do I need an installer?
No. Vela goes on the wall, Luma and Solis use adhesive, Aura goes on the ceiling. No channels cut, no cable pulled, no electrician booked. Nexo for VRF is fitted by an integrator.
What happens when the internet drops?
Schedules, limits and sensor reactions run on the device itself. Without internet you lose remote access and history — the savings keep running.
What is the warranty and can I return it?
One year on every device, extendable to three or five at purchase. Thirty days to return with no reason required: if the meter does not show a difference, send it back.
What does it integrate with?
Alexa, Google Home, Apple Shortcuts, Home Assistant and Yandex Alice. Properties get an open API and report exports; BMS integration runs over Modbus through Nexo. None of it is behind a subscription.
Start with one room
Put airo where the air conditioner runs most, then look at the bill a month later. If nothing changed, we refund you.
